The Stand-In Boyfriend- super cute!

BLURB

This year was supposed to be the best of her life, but after finding her boyfriend cheating in front of half of the school, the last thing Jessica Bryant wants is to face her classmates.

Noah Russell still feels ashamed of what he did last year. He isn’t one of the bad guys. So, when he hears people bad-mouthing Jessica, he reacts without thinking.

It was supposed to be just a kiss, to give people something else to talk about, but now that they’re the ones controlling the rumors, why not continue?

A few weeks, just until homecoming, and then they’ll break up. Jessica won’t be the girl her boyfriend cheated on and Noah will get his redemption. Should be easy, right? Maybe if her stand-in boyfriend wasn’t also her mortal enemy…

The Stand-In Boyfriend is an interconnected standalone, sweet YA novella in Greyford High universe.

REVIEW

This book went exactly how I thought it would. Boy meets girl, boy cheats on girl, other boy sees girl is being humiliated and steps in to help as her 'pretend boyfriend' then before you know it, real feelings get involved (of course they do) then bada-bing, bada-boom real relationship, happy very after.

Nothing too overly dramatic happened and I am extremely happy about that. Very rarely do I get to sit back and enjoy an unproblematic book or a book not packed with an overly complicated storyline.

Noah and Jess were great. Complimented each other perfectly. Jess was slightly introverted to the public eye but once you get to know her, her personality jumps out. She's fun and so sassy. Noah is the opposite. On the outside he's this confident jock but also an extremely caring and thoughtful person.

I did not read the previous book in the series but I got the gist of what it was about, and while it was interconnected it wasn't hard to continue the storyline. I 100% recommend a book like this to just relax and unwind. It was really good. Also, if you have in fact read the previous books then you'll definitely enjoy the cameos!
